The Regular Season in LDC just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most important game of round 1 took place in Santiago where Mambas edged Capitanes 94-92 on Friday night. Strangely Capitanes outrebounded Mambas 41-29 including 19 on the offensive glass. Victor Torres (189-1995) stepped up and scored 32 points for the winners and Daniel Vasquez chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side Francisco Germosen responded with 19 points and 4 assists. Capitanes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Capitanes will play next round against strong CPN trying to make it back to the top of the standings. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santiago - CPN. Mambas will try to continue on its current victory against Capitanes. It will be extra interesting game as Capitanes is their local rival from Santiago.
Moca Superior defeated Fenix at home 85-72. Micael Urena nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and Luigi Rojas accounted for 19 points and 5 rebounds. Brayan Rodriguez came up with 16 points for Fenix in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fenix will play next round against strong CPN trying to get back on the winning streak. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santiago - CPN. Moca Superior will try to continue on its current victory against Immortals at Santiago.
Immortals recorded a loss in Santiago on Thursday night. Visitors were edged by CPN 89-87. Sammy Rodriguez fired 23 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Khalil Small produced 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. CPN's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena Fenix.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 1: Moca Superior won against Santiago Max on the opponent's court 97-88. Winless Santiago Basket unfortunately lost to Fenix in a home game 81-84. Immortals rolled over Santiago Max on the road 83-53.

Guard Derekjeter Mejia (182-2001) chipped in 16 points. Franklyn Sabater produced 15 points and 7 assists and guard Jose Brito added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. But Santiago Max was not able to use a home court advantage and was rolled over by the opponent from Santiago 83-53 on Sunday night. Immortals dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Santiago Max's 32 and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Santiago Max 49-25 including a 29-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Khalil Small (190-1995, college: Green Bay) fired a double-double by scoring 32 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. His fellow American import forward Tay Hall (197-2003, college: Gulf Coast CC) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Immortals players scored in double figures. Julio Estrella produced 14 points and Franklyn Sabater added 10 points respectively for lost side.
